We no speak Americano. Dé zomerhit van 2010. Je hoorde het overal, altijd en vooral veel. Veel te vaak naar mijn mening, en dan heb je t bij mij al snel verpest. God, wat is dat nummer nu irritant zeg!!

Iets wat mij beschrijft? Vriendlief zou zeggen; lui!! Tja... Dat kan ik errug goed. Lui zijn. En bij lui zijn, denk ik aan Bruno Mars - the lazy song

day 14 - a song that no one would expect you to love

Wat denk ik maar weinig mensen weten, is dat ik een enorme liefhebber van keiharde rock. Nou valt dit nummer niet perse daaronder, maar dit is wel zo'n nummer dat gewoon KEIHARD gedraaid moet worden. En af en toe, als dit nummer voorbij komt op de radio... Dan gáát ie ook KEIHARD. Evenals nummers van Kings of Leon, Red Hot Chili Peppers, de Kaiser Chiefs of Nirvana :)

day 13 – a song that is a guilty pleasure

Ik schaam me nu al dood. Ik weet ook niet of ik het wel uit zou kunnen spreken. Gelukkig is dit een weblog, en hoef ik het 'alleen' maar te typen. En zelfs dát gaat moeilijk hoor, zal ik je vertellen. Als ik namelijk zo'n 10 jaar jonger was geweest, had ik vast en zeker aan de nieuwste hype meegedaan. Ik zou 'Belieber'-ige trekjes hebben.... Ja!! Je leest het goed! Ik kan de muziek van Justin Bieber best waarderen.

Nou kan ik niet zeggen dat ik fan ben, integendeel... Maar ach, sommige nummers van hem zijn best aan te horen. Neem nou bijvoorbeeld -begin maar vast met lachen, de titel is al om te gieren- Eenie Meenie . Best geinig toch? En ik weet dat er meer mensen zijn die er stiekem net zo over denken als ik! Dus kom maarrrrr met die reacties, lieve mede-Beliebers van me!

day 11 – a song from your favorite band

Sinds ik vorig jaar Maroon 5 live heb gezien tijdens een showcase van Q-Music, ben ik toch wel lichtelijk verslaafd aan de muziek van Maroon 5. Eigenlijk was ik dat al vanaf hun eerste cd, maar jezus wat zijn die gasten goed als ze live optreden.

In 2010 bracht Maroon 5 het album 'Hands All Over' uit, met als eerste single 'Misery'. En dat is nou net de leukste van het hele album (vind ik dan).

day 09 – a song that you can dance to

Mohombiiii! Dat ge-boem bang bang van m... Nou daar kan ik het wel op hoor! (dansen dan he) Zodra ik dat nummer hoor (veelal in de auto) gaan bij mij alle remmen los. Ja, ook in de auto. No problemo.
Eigenlijk gaat de tekst gewoon over keiharde porno, maar ach... Who cares?! Het gaat om de beat, de vrolijke melodie en het gevoel dat deze plaat me geeft. Het doet me denken aan zomer, strand, de zon en gewoon remmen los en gaan met die banaan. I like!

day 07 – a song that reminds you of a certain event

Dit is een makkelijke! Als ik aan HET event in mijn leven denk, dan is dat basketbal. En dan de Gasterra Flames om precies te zijn. De 12 mannen onder leiding van Marco vd Berg die ik steevast elk seizoen regelmatig bezoek met Lisanne. Vorig seizoen werden ze landskampioen, met als gevolg een feestje op de Grote Markt van Groningen! Het lijflied van de landskampioenstitel was I Got a Feeling van de Black Eyed Peas... Op de Grote Markt zag dat er zo uit!! Wat een lol hebben wij gehad om die jongens. Nog vaak wordt dit nummer gedraaid, en altijd moet ik weer even aan het feestje op de Grote Markt denken; even een stiekeme blik met Lisanne delen.. En een grote grinnik uitbrengen :)

day 06 – a song that reminds you of somewhere

Als er 1 plek op aarde is waar ik nog vaak aan terug denk, dan is dat Curaçao. En bij Curaçao denk ik aan Chilleeeeeeee op de Antilleeeeeen!! Altijd heb ik er naartoe gewild, en in de zomer van 2010 was het dan eindelijk zover. Na 9 lange uren in het vliegtuig zagen we een groot langwerpig stukje land liggen, omringd door witte strandjes en azuurblauwe zee. Het vliegtuig stond amper aan de grond, of we ontdekten al het levensmotto van de Antilliaan: poko poko! Oftewel... Chiiiilll!! En dat deden we dus ook maar. Overigens was dat niet moeilijk hoor, bij 30 graden en een luchtvochtigheid van 90%. Twee weken lang hebben we genoten van zon, zee, strand en rust. We hebben bijna heel Curaçao ontdekt, gezien, gedaan en ervaren, met als hoogtepunt het met dolfijnen zwemmen, Wow, wat een ervaring!!Als het kon, pakte ik zo het eerste de beste vliegtuig terug naar 'Korsou'. We hebben een hopi gave tijd gehad, en echt... Ooit... Ga ik terug!!

day 05 – a song that reminds you of someone

Alleen al het lezen van de challenge van vandaag, doet mij meteen denken aan één persoon. Slechts een half jaar nu, ben ik compleet verliefd. Hij is voor mij zo ontzettend belangrijk in mijn leven, hij doet mij dingen voelen die ik nooit verwacht had ooit voor iemand te zullen en kunnen voelen. Toen we elkaar eens twee weken moesten missen, stuurde 'Mijn Mannetje' mij een smsje met de volgende tekst;

Racoon - Love you More. Tja.. Tranen met tuiten natuurlijk, zo ontroerd was ik. Ik vond het altijd al een geweldig nummer, maar bij het horen van de eerste deuntjes denk ik nu meteen aan myn skotsje...

day 3 - a song that makes you happy

Heeeeeelemaal vergeten!! Helaas, wegens overwerk heb ik dag 3 niet kunnen bloggen. Maar niet gevreesd. die haal ik nu gewoon netjes in. Als ik denk aan een liedje dat mij vrolijk maakt, is dat iets waar herinneringen aan zitten. En dat is dan toch wel Boom Boom Bailando (caribbean versie) van Jan Smit. Hoe vaak ik naar de tour van Jan ben geweest weet ik niet, maar keer op keer lag ik weer compleet dubbel om de band die helemaal los ging. Al knipogend en grinnikend naar ons, omdat wij alweer wisten wat er komen ging. Aanstaande zondag is het eindelijk weer zover; Votown Allstars. Ik heb er zin in!

day 04 – a song that makes you sad

Wat mij betreft had deze Day 04 challenge ook 'a song that makes you cry' mogen heten. Want werkelijk, wat een tranentrekker: The Family Tree van Venice. Ik denk dat het nummer niet eens zo heel erg bekend is bij het Nederlandse publiek, simpelweg om het feit dat Venice niet bekend is.

Venice is een Amerikaanse folk/country-rock-band bestaande uit de broers/neven Kipp, Mark, Michael en Pat Lennon. De Lennons brengen eigen composities in de stijl van The Eagles, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young en Jackson Browne. De band werd opgericht in 1977 in Venice, Californië. (Wikipedia)
